When a patient has had reconstruction in the past, with new techniques we are often able to improve results. Having had a latissimus flap reconstruction on her left, the contour and symmetry did not achieve her goals. By reconstructing with an implant and implanting the right side for symmetry, the reconstructive goal of looking good in clothes without a extra padded bra was doable.
